is the case we got instead of the one previously posted. everything seems to be connected properly but when we turn it on were not getting any sort of picture when its on. even if everything WAS correct wouldnt we still get an error saying that there was no OS?

Remove everything except:
CPU / Mobo / Ram / Video Card.

You should get something on the screen. If not there will be beeps to tell you what's wrong, unless something major is bad. I highly suggest once you get those running, run a CPU burn in test and Memtest86 to verify the CPU / Memory are good. Even if it boots, the memory can still be bad.

failure. Swap some of the ram out, leave only one stick in (if you didn't already do this...)

(Typically I do this when it's out of the case also)

so i got the speaker. no beeps. but i also noticed the fan on the video card doesnt start when we turn the power on

Put the other video card back in just to be sure.

Also the fan's don't always come on 24/7, some will only come on when the temperature reaches a threshold.

List motherboard model once more.
